Marvic Catalogue
This data catalogue provides MRV developers access to a set data sources needed from MRV development (e.g., model calibration and validation) and MRV application (application at real farms). The catalogue is maintained by Wageningen University & Research. The initial content has been collected in the scope of the MARVIC project, A Horizon Europe Soil Mission project, launched in June 2023 to support the EU Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification (CRCF) regulation. The main aim of MARVIC is to develop an MRV framework for the design of harmonized, context-specific MRV systems for carbon removals by agricultural activities. MARVIC focuses on arable land, grasslands, agroforestry systems and managed peatlands.
